autumn traditions
This morning we went to the Pumpkin Patch at May Farms in Byers, CO about 37 miles away. Along the way, we enjoyed a mug of hot apple cider and vegan pumpkin spice muffins that I made...delicious!
I wasn't prepared for it to be colder there than in Denver, so I'm wearing Jason's warm vest while he froze his poor tushy. It didn't stop us from scouting out the perfect pumpkins, taking a hay ride, and then we ended the fun at home watching Charlie Brown's Great Big Pumpkin with a chai latte. Oh how I wish autumn would stay longer!

Durango

The school did an atrocious job at selling itself. If I hadnt already researched it extensively to know it was a good fit and not had the perspicacity to dialogue with Deans, Id walk away scoffing, kicking intelectual dust in its face. But, it has more than the eye sees. The program I want to go into has an incredible variety and a Dean whos heart you cant but admire and want to emulate. Another thing was that I was amidst 18-19 year olds whose bodies are redolent with hormones and whos livers are dying to have thier limits tested.
All said and done, if id had more sleep I might be a bit more enthused. I was running on less than 4 hours of sleep in two days and driving for hours! We did sleep in the back of a friends truck: Cold, cold, cold and really creepy. Oh...and Naomi removed my coffee cup before the trip so I had to drink scalding hot tea out of the kettle; searing all nerve endings in my lips to nil.
a very nerve racking tunnel.

Thanks!
